Paris-Orly coach transfers for groups
Orly is the closer of the two big Paris airports. Group coaches have their own car parks here, so the first question is simple: which terminal does the flight use?
Two coach car parks, one per side
Flights into Orly 1, 2 or 3 are met from 'Cars de groupe 1', on the arrivals forecourt level. Orly 4 has its own, 'Cars de groupe 4', north of car park P4C. Give the terminal with the booking and the driver goes to the right one.
The rules match those at Charles de Gaulle. Entry is by number-plate recognition and a ticket, up to two hours per visit are included, and a stay of more than three hours brings a 30-day suspension. Plan the meeting for the time the group actually clears baggage, not the scheduled landing.

Departures and the kerb
Orly has a professional drop-off lane, but it is for taxis and VTC cars, and they may only set down there. A coach does not use it. For a departure, ask the operator where the coach will unload, and allow time to walk the group and its bags to check-in.
School and youth groups: seat belts are worn on every seat fitted with one. Brief the group before boarding, not on the motorway.
Where the coach collects the group
- Group coaches use the airport operator's professional coach car parks: 'Parking Pro Orly 1,2,3 : Cars de groupe 1' on the arrivals forecourt level of Orly 1-2-3, and 'Parking Pro Orly 4 : Cars de groupe 4', north of car park P4C. Cars with driver (VTC) wait in the Parking Pro car parks and meet passengers at door 10a for Orly 1-2 and door 33a for Orly 3; Orly 4 has its own Parking Pro, reopened with twice as many spaces.
Coach parking and access
- Entry is by number-plate recognition plus a ticket, under the same pass rules as at Paris-Charles de Gaulle: up to 2 hours per visit included, extra charges beyond that, and a 30-day suspension for a vehicle that stays more than 3 hours. A professional drop-off lane for VTC and taxis allows drop-off only (picking up is forbidden there); the first 10 minutes are free.
Road to the city centre
- about 19 km by road to Notre-Dame, in the centre of Paris, about 25 min in light traffic; much longer at peak times
The road to the centre
Notre-Dame is about 19 km away: roughly 25 minutes with free-flowing traffic, much more in the rush. Orly is not in the Grand Paris low-emission zone; everything within the A86 is. Between 08:00 and 20:00, seven days a week, a coach whose sticker reads Crit'Air 3, 4 or 5, or which has no sticker, is kept out. Parliament may change the rules, so confirm the sticker when booking.
Hotels in the 1st to 4th arrondissements are inside a limited-traffic zone, which coaches may enter only to begin or finish a journey there. Coach parking in Paris needs the PASS Autocar. Bercy, with 80 spaces, is the largest coach park.
Connecting to a TGV
Groups heading south often switch to the train at Gare de Lyon. Metro line 14 reaches it from Orly in about 23 minutes. With heavy bags or young children, a coach to the station forecourt is usually easier than the metro at peak times.
Organisers ask
Is Orlybus still an option?
No. The Orlybus line stopped on 3 March 2025. Metro line 14, Orlyval with RER B and tram T7 remain.
Can the coach collect from the taxi lane?
No. Picking up is forbidden on the professional drop-off lane even for taxis and VTC cars. Coaches use the group car parks.
How long before the group lands should the coach arrive?
Not long. Each visit includes two hours, and the clock runs from entry. The operator times the arrival to the flight, so send the flight number rather than a fixed time.
Do we need a coach for 14 people?
Not always. A minibus with driver suits a group that size. For 30 or more, or a lot of luggage, a midi or full-size coach is the better fit.
