Paris-Beauvais coach transfers: one coach park, a long road

Paris-Beauvais is in the Oise, about 82 km by road from Notre-Dame. Budget the time for that drive first. Then look at the single place where a group coach may load.

The only place to load

Group and private coaches pick up and set down in the 'Parking Bus Transport Privé', between car parks P2 and P4, close to both terminals. It has six bays for coaches up to 15 m long. Loading anywhere else on the airport is not allowed, and the neighbouring commune of Tillé tows too.

The coach park opens from 06:00 to 23:00, every day except 25 December. If a flight is due after 23:00, raise it when you ask for the quote, before the plan is fixed.

Tickets and the 20-minute exit

The driver takes a ticket at the barrier and pays at the machines in front of Terminal 2, at the exit or at the parking office. From payment, the coach has 20 minutes to leave. So pay once the whole group is aboard, not while people are still at baggage reclaim.

A badge for regular users does not reserve a bay. On a busy evening all six can be full. A clear meeting point inside the terminal, and a head count before walking out, saves time at the coach.

Where the coach collects the group

  • Group and private coaches pick up and set down in the 'Parking Bus Transport Privé', between car parks P2 and P4 close to the terminals: 6 bays for coaches up to 15 m long, open 06:00-23:00 every day except 25 December. Picking up or setting down passengers anywhere else is not allowed. The airport publishes no separate VTC area; cars use the drop-off zone of about 140 spaces near car park P1, about 2 minutes' walk from both terminals.

Coach parking and access

  • A ticket is issued at the entry barrier of the private coach park; it is paid at the machines in front of Terminal 2, at the exit or at the parking office, after which the coach has 20 minutes to leave. Regular users can have a badge, which does not guarantee a space. Parking elsewhere on the airport and servicing vehicles on site are forbidden. Scheduled coach lines use a separate multimodal hub between the two terminals.

Road to the city centre

  • about 82 km by road to Notre-Dame, in the centre of Paris (the airport gives 77 km from Porte de la Chapelle), about 1 h 20 min in light traffic; longer at peak times

The drive to Paris

Allow about 1 h 20 in light traffic and more at peak times; a coach is slower than the car times suggest. The last part of the road enters the Grand Paris low-emission zone inside the A86. By day, older coaches are kept out: anything with a Crit'Air 3, 4 or 5 sticker, or no classification at all. The rule could change, so confirm the coach's sticker when you book.

A return run to Beauvais is close to three hours of driving before any sightseeing. EU rules cap a driver at 9 hours behind the wheel a day and require a 45-minute pause once 4.5 hours are reached. Combine an airport run with a full day in Paris only after checking the driver's day.

Organisers ask

Is there a public option for a small group?

The Aérobus A01 shuttle runs to Porte Maillot in about 1 h 15 and waits for the last flights. TER trains from Gare du Nord reach Beauvais station, then city bus 6 or a taxi to the airport. With a group and luggage, a booked vehicle avoids the changes.

Can a minibus use the car drop-off zone instead?

The drop-off zone near car park P1 has about 140 spaces and is about 2 minutes' walk from both terminals. Ask the operator which area suits the vehicle you book; coaches must use the private coach park.

Can the coach wait at the airport during a delay?

Parking anywhere other than the coach park is forbidden, and a bay is never held. Send the flight number so the operator can follow it.
