Paris-Charles de Gaulle coach transfers: Parking Pro, terminals and the road into Paris
At Charles de Gaulle a group coach does not wait at the terminal doors. It waits in a professional car park run by the airport operator, and the group walks to it. Plan the arrival around that walk.
Where the coach waits
Coaches and other tall vehicles use the Parking Pro car parks. At Terminal 1 that is Parking Pro T1, reached from the departures or the arrivals level. Terminal 3 has Parking Pro T3. At Terminal 2 the over-height car park is Parking Pro EF, beside halls 2E and 2F.
Entry works by number-plate recognition and a ticket. A pass covers up to two hours per visit. A vehicle that stays more than three hours is suspended for 30 days. A long delay therefore needs a new entry time, not a longer wait.

Terminal names change in March 2027
On 16 March 2027 the terminals are renumbered 1 to 7, and car parks and gate numbers change with them. Terminal 3, for example, becomes Terminal 2. After that date, send us the terminal shown on your booking, checked close to departure. If part of the group uses hall 2G, add time for the N2 shuttle bus from 2F.
Where the coach collects the group
- Pre-booked coaches and other over-height vehicles collect groups from the professional car parks (Parking Pro) run by the airport operator: Parking Pro T1 at Terminal 1, reached from the departures level (level 3) or the arrivals level (level 5); Parking Pro T3 at Terminal 3; and the over-height Parking Pro EF beside halls 2E and 2F of Terminal 2. Cars with driver (VTC) wait in Parking Pro T1, Parking Pro T3 or Parking Pro AB, CD and EF at Terminal 2, entered from the arrivals level.
Coach parking and access
- Entry to the Parking Pro car parks is by number-plate recognition plus a ticket, paid per visit or by pass. Operators open an account and upload their company and transport documents; VTC operators also provide their VTC register certificate and VTC sticker, and the annual pass needs proof of a prior booking or a contract with the client. A pass includes up to 2 hours per visit, with extra charges beyond that; a vehicle that stays more than 3 hours is suspended for 30 days.
Road to the city centre
- about 28 km by road to Notre-Dame, in the centre of Paris, about 35-40 min in light traffic; much longer at peak times
Into Paris: the zone and the clock
Notre-Dame is about 28 km by road. With clear roads that is about 35 to 40 minutes; at peak times it is much longer, and a coach is slower than a car.
The airport is outside the Grand Paris low-emission zone, but the drive into the city enters it at the A86. Coaches classed Crit'Air 3, 4, 5 or unclassified may not run inside the A86 from 08:00 to 20:00, every day. These rules may change, so the coach's sticker is checked against the rule in force when the quote is made.
Setting down at a Paris hotel
A coach may stop only to unload people and bags, engine off. In the 1st to 4th arrondissements, a limited-traffic zone allows trips that start or end inside it, so a hotel transfer is fine. Parking afterwards needs the PASS Autocar.
Straight out of Paris after a long flight
Some groups land early and head for Normandy or Champagne the same day. Under EU rules a driver may drive at most 9 hours a day and must stop for 45 minutes after 4.5 hours. Give us the whole day, not only the airport leg.
Organisers ask
Can the coach meet us outside arrivals?
No. Coaches wait in the Parking Pro car parks, and the drop-off lanes in front of the terminals are for cars. Agree with the operator where the driver will meet the group inside the terminal.
Our flight lands three hours late. What happens to the coach?
It cannot sit in a Parking Pro for more than three hours. Send flight numbers so the entry can follow the real landing time, and keep the group leader reachable.
Could the group take the train instead?
RER B runs from both airport stations to Gare du Nord in about 25 minutes, and a TGV station sits inside Terminal 2. CDG Express is due to open in 2027. With 40 people and luggage, the coach is often simpler.
